What We’ve Been Up To

Ramadan has been very good Masha Allah.  I am exhausted though.  I have to get up every morning at 4:00 am to cook breakfast, then wait till like 5:40 to get everyone back up for Salat.  I am now in my 8th month of pregnancy so my energy is fading again.  Qadr Allah.  Anyways I go back to bed after salat and sleep till like 9:00 then I get up and try to do some work with the kids.  So far we have been just working a little every day.  We do our Ramadan studies, following TJ’s schedule.  My son reads atleast one book a day.  I am trying to teach him the writing process this week.

Today worked out great Alhamdulillah.  I had been given a bunch of Kindergarten workbooks over the years and since we have all passed up Kindergarten (now 1st and 3rd grade) I gave the kids the workbooks to play school with their stuffed animals.  That is what they did today.  About 6 of them did a math page and it was great for review.  I atleast felt that some learning was accomplished so it satisfied my psychy.  LOL!  We haven’t been able to do to much between Suhoor me napping, doing laundry, light housework and going to the masjid every night.

I hope everyone is having a blessed Ramadan.  It’s so exciting yet so exhausting Masha Allah.
